The Park and its FacilitiesWhilst we would encourage you to explore the surrounding areas, for those days when you don't want to travel there is lots to see and do within the park itself. You can play an energetic game of tennis or badminton, swim in the outdoor pool or even relax on your own private patio enjoying a barbeque. Each cottage comes with a barbeque. WifiWifi is available in all the properties at Notter Mill for moderate charge. Packages range from day passes to weekly passes. It is worth remembering that although the park is serviced by a broadband connection the bandwidth is limited and is not suitable for heavy usage. Table Tennis, Tennis, Badminton/Volleyball and FootballThe tennis court and badminton net are located in the playing field and can be reached either by steps (one set between cottages 5 and 6, and the other directly opposite the mill house) or by the path just past the car park. This path is flat and although a little bumpy is suitable for wheelchair users. (Please do not climb over the bank as this is not only our flood defence but also a conservation area). Tennis and badminton racquets and balls/shuttles are available to borrow fromus. The Table tennis table is located next to the swiming pool in the old chicken enclosure PlaygroundOur younger guests will enjoy a wide variety of activities in our playground area. This is intended for the under14's and is on the playing field next to the tennis court. There is a bench provided for parents to relax with a book. Swimming poolThe swimming pool is open every day from late May until early September. Floats and inflatables are provided for your enjoyment as well as ample seating for everyone. Walking and exploringAll guests are welcome to walk and explore the park. It stretches from the end of the pub car park and into the next field on the left had side. Why not have a climb - it is steep in parts - into Hales Wood (opposite the entrance to the park on the opposite side of the lane) and see what wildlife is there. There are rabbit warrens, badger sets and fox lairs to be found. You are welcome to take your dog to any of these areas of the park but please ensure that they are under control and that you pick up any mess. There is one local walk on the opposite side of the river to the park - about 5 miles there and back. Please beware there are some steep sections and when it is wet some very muddy areas. Information centreOur information and reception cabin is located directly in front of the Mill House at the entrance to the Park. This is well worth a visit not only to see a record of the wildlife that is regularly seen on the park, but also as a great source of information about local attractions in Devon and Cornwall. LaunderetteThe launderette is situated on the left of the Mill House. It contains two washing machines and a double tumble dryer. Both of these are coin operated.
